Carbone Farmers is designed for all stakeholders in agricultural value chains who wish to engage their farmers and ranchers in the transition, as well as all climate-committed companies seeking to support projects aimed at regenerating French agricultural carbon sinks.
Regenerative agriculture is an approach that aims to restore soil health, increase biodiversity, and store carbon in farmland, while improving the socioeconomic resilience of farms. It helps combat climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and sequestering carbon in the soil.
Most of our agricultural projects are monitored over a five-year period, though some may last for a shorter duration. Generally speaking, we observe a reduction in the carbon footprint and an increase in environmental benefits on the farms we support as early as the following harvest.
The two main sources of funding for the transition supported by Carbone Farmers are sector-specific incentives and carbon credits.
The carbon credits generated by our agricultural projects are calculated using national methodologies, guided by standards such as the Low Carbon Label. Our calculations are primarily based on field measurements, which are then consolidated using our internal tools. Carbone Farmers works with independent certification bodies, such as Bureau Veritas, to ensure the transparency and credibility of these Low Carbon Label-certified credits.
Join us in accelerating your transition to a low-carbon, regenerative future.
In 20 minutes, we’ll assess your situation and your climate goals, and present opportunities for us to work together on the agricultural transition.
