Frequently Asked Questions Frequently Asked Questions

How can regenerative agriculture enhance the competitiveness and resilience of agricultural cooperatives and collectors?

Regenerative agriculture enables purchasing groups to reduce their members’ production costs (fewer inputs, healthier soils), secure their supply chains in the face of climate-related risks (regenerated soils, greater farm resilience), and potentially access new markets (low-carbon production). It also makes purchasing cooperatives more attractive to young farmers and financial partners such as banks.

Carbone Farmers offers technical support (assessments, carbon footprint calculations, and the development of action plans) and financial support (structuring low-carbon supply chains, establishing supply chain incentives, and generating carbon credits) to farmers who are members of cooperatives.

At Carbone Farmers, we believe in pooling resources to finance the transition. We therefore connect you with various upstream stakeholders across different agricultural sectors to support your farmers. We also work with agricultural value chains to promote the transition from start to finish. Additionally, we generate and certify carbon credits for your farmers to provide supplementary funding for the transition.
Finally, public funding can support the transition, such as grants or calls for proposals.

Using our ISO 14067-certified FarmGate Metrics platform, we accurately measure carbon sequestration and emissions reductions at the farm level. We generate certificates that document CO2 emissions reductions, which can be included in non-financial reports or CSR reports and shared with the rest of the value chain to support their Scope 3 commitments.
